Instead of laying people off, companies and workers should compromise on lower payroll costs in exchange for profit-sharing from new business that results from seeds planted during the downturn.
Keeping staff on the payroll during slower times, frees time to work on a number of things that get shoved to the side when business is booming.
Yes, interesting. Unfortunately, innovation seems to be a four letter word. Could it be a big part of the reason why the car industry is doing so well in this country? Hmmm…
