In AWNM, I wrote about mini-sagas — ultra-short stories that are exactly 50 words long. Readers often send me mini-sagas they’ve written. And one of the most prolific and compelling contributors has been Chris M., who runs a blog for people who belong to Narcotics Anonymous (though the site itself is not connected to the official organization.) Chris recently posted a large collection of his mini-sagas. Most are excellent; some are amazing. Below is one of my quirky faves, but I recommend reading the whole set .
He was a skinny, pimply gangly kid. We all wanted him to do okay, so we helped him out when we could. I let him stay at my place, but my cat attacked him, which was weird. He stole from the next guy who let him sleep on the couch.
