Lots of travel and lots of deadlines have meant not a lot of blogging lately. Sorry. But I did want to point to the two best articles I’ve read in the last week — both of which concern housing. The first was Christopher Caldwell’s essay in the New York Times Magazine in which he shreds those who are trying to use local laws to stop extended immigrant families from sharing a home. The second is a fascinating story about Glacier Circle in Davis, California — senior citizen commune of sorts, “the country’s first self-planned housing development for the elderly.”
