One-third of Americans don’t believe in evolution. Scary. (UPDATE 8/28: I don’t mean to suggest that people who believe in God are dumb. Not at all. Belief in God and belief in evolution are fully compatible. Just ask Francis Collins. However, not believing that living things, including humans, are the way they are because of the process of evolution and natural selection is, to my mind, like not believing in gravity.)
