    Laughing Out Silently (LOS)–as I must, without podcasting!

    Is this a self-referential cartoon? As in, “I refer to myself when I refer to myself”?

    One of my favorite cartoons was by Ashleigh Brilliant in the 80s. A nerdy looking fellow puffs out his chest and bellows: “I want to dominate!”

    In the next panel, looking up fearfully while crouching at floor level, he quimpers: “To whom do I apply for permission?”

    Dan, I love your insights. As Tony Soprano would say about virtually any piece of food, “Mmhh. It’s good…keep it comin’!”
