  • Which animal are you?

800px-juancitojpg.jpegOne of the great things about a long project, like the book I’m finishing now, is not only the source of satisfaction at the end — but also what you learn about yourself and how you work along the way.

What I’m discovering, or perhaps confirming, this time around is what kind of animal I am.

    To wit . . .

    • Tortoise or hare? I’m a tortoise. Totally.

Which animals are you? We might have a zoological MBTI in the making here!

      How about a panda?

In a zoo (workplace) full of monkeys, elephants, lions, tigers, the panda is pretty rare. The panda’s not quite like all the others.

Often, the zoo’s not even sure what to do with it. Does it give it a lot of attention, or keep it secluded to its own area? The panda eats different kind of food and has different habits. Does the zoo just do the best it can and hope the panda doesn’t cause problems?

Is the zoo simply glad to have the panda, an animal that makes it seem like a special zoo, but doesn’t provide an environment for the panda to flourish?

Aren’t zoos (workplaces) more likely to have monkeys, elephants, lions and tigers because they know what to expect from those animals? They’re basic zoo animals and the food/care/environment is relatively simple to maintain.

Pandas can make a zoo really different, important and special. They can add a lot to the zoo’s attractiveness and value. But pandas love being at zoos that care for them and give them the space and support to … well … be pandas.

Tortoise, hedgehog, forced Lark, I grew up showing horses…but was often behind the scenes cleaning stalls…

      Hmmmm

I’m an animal who has yet to be defined but if I had my way, I’d be Ed the Wonder Dog…he’s got the best ever life!

Tortoise, fox, forced lark and current workhorse. I am looking to leave the stall behind though.

      Hummingbird

Hum all day, can zoom, hover and fly backwards, selective eater, can easily control metabolism, and symbolism almost fairylike.

That is a nice question, and I think we all carry some archetypal animals in us.. and sometimes we can find some similarities or traits that are common in some animals… To me it is a horse – he perfectly discribes my personality :) Of course I can find more in me, and sometimes I call them to use their Spirit/Power. There is a good webpage about it:

      tortoise FOR SURE!
      neither fox nor hedgehog…if I am a mammal – I am probably a bear.
among our feathered friends – I’d be an owl. (or a phoenix)
neither work horse nor show horse – I am a race horse (I know it sounds contradictory to the tortoise – but it isn’t – you remember who won the race in the tortoise and the hare…)
