We’re launching JohnnyBunko.com today. But in order to accommodate the traffic, we’ve had to switch servers — a switch that’s taking longer than we expected. If you visit now (Wednesday morning), you’ll get an error message. Sorry about that. We should be up and running later in the day.

(UPDATE, 11:45am EDT:  At long last, the site is up.  The most important thing to do now is to
vote on our first contest!)

I just ordered both ‘A Whole New Mind’ and ‘Johnny Bungo’ today. I am a teacher, and the material was recommended to me by my father who saw Dan’s presentation at West Ottawa Public Schools in Michigan. Being a music teacher, I see the tolls of antiquated educational systems on a daily basis, and I hope to change the direction of that in my school district – starting with a fresh outlook.

I am in the UK and have ordered Johnny Bunko today. For me, the essence of the six career secrets is part of a new movement in career management planning. It is an exciting step away from the dull career texts that urge their readers to eschew a growing self-reliance and self-awareness in favour of depressing spirals of repetitive, creativity-free cold-calling and vanilla self-promotion. I can’t wait to receive it and to learn more!

  3. Met 4 new interesting people through serendipity in the past 12 hours- discussed your ideas and 6 aptitudes with all of them, one was a mobile hairdresser who came to my house and started a non-salon based hairdressing service for busy executives, another one of the 20 most talented rock drummers in the world now teaching executives listening skills, the 3rd, a visionary woman who wants to develop and maintain relationships with all people who apply for jobs at AMP, my company, regardless of whether they are successful or not. Far sighted and I am going to help her achieve this if its my last act on earth! The 4th is a recruiter, Toby Marshall of Abacus Recruitment, who has twice done things radically different by flipping the traditional industry approaches, one in a very unusual book and the other by cultivating permanent part-time roles for undergraduates in job sharing roles to give them inservice experience and give the corporations the benefit of their youthful ambition and passion.

Best wishes on the launch of Johnny….I wrote to you some time ago inviting you to dinner at AMP when you are in australia for the AHRI Convention- haven’t heard from you? Guess you have been a tad busy!

The Adventures of Johnny Bunks is and excellent book that is right on target. I’m amazed that I have intuitively know and lived these lessons; however, I never would have been able to put them on paper. I’m comfortable with and believe in each and every lesson. Making excellent mistakes is daunting. I know I learn from my mistakes, but they have always been embarrassing and something that I have kept quiet. Now I know that mistakes are part of the process.
