We did an exercise as a part of a Making Effective Use of Your time.
Take three minutes and write down the things you want to accomplish before the end of your life. If it comes into your head write it down, don’t judge it. Next using an A,B,C system prioritize the list. Then select the A-1 priority.
After this had been done the second faze is to take three minutes to write down the things you want to accomplish in the next three years. Once again using the A,B,C system prioritize the list and select an A-1
Next, you have just found out that you have only 6 months to live. Write down the three things you want to accomplish in the next six months. Select an A-1.
Thanks Dan! Love that advice from the Oracle. I’m the type who always says “yes!” I’ve been successful, but not REALLY successful, so perhaps it’s time to start saying “NO!” Thanks!
Dan, Really good one. I have heard this now so many times like you said. Every single book on success or entrepreneurship speaks about this. I think the key is most people have difficulty deciding what they want. Once that is clarified this can be applied. The first step truly is to decide exactly what you want in the midst of a sea of advice, distractions and many other commitments not to mention the peer pressure. Being yourself in a world that wants you to be someone else is the toughest. Yes lets get our priorities straight.
Hi Dan,
I always enjoy the PinkCasts! I practice them, they are all so useful! I liked the coffee one!
Here I wanted to share a post about this one! Thanks! https://noborderslearning.com/2018/04/11/5-goals/
Funny I was just approached to do something that I was sitting on the fence about and was wondering if this video would offer some insight and a solution. “really successful people say no, to just about everything”
Dear Daniel, I only want to give one advice to you. That video was great but I can´t linked it to my followers. It will be fine for you and me… So I recomend you to change it to make sharing easely.
Best regards,
Carlos from Pamplona, Spain.
Thanks for the post! It’s a good reminder around the need to prioritize one’s work, one’s goals, one’s overall life. I think the bit about saying “No” is too simplistic and can be easily reworded as the art of saying “Yes” to the right things – therein lies the challenge. As always, you’ve given us food for thought.
Hey Dan,
Why are you wasting your life making these stupid little videos? Get back to real journalism and stop creating such sophomoric drivel.
Gideon
Thanks for watching, Gideon. If you think this is sophomoric, you should check out some of the other things I’m doing!
Come on Dan! Sure, you are very successful, but you could be REALLY REALLY successful if you just follow Mr. Sheldon’s advice.

You now have three priority goals to work on.
“No” es the most powerful word we can use. The trick is to say it without offending the other person.

Your pinkcast is a revelation everytime. Thank you!
Hi Dan: I have no words to thank you this advice from Mr. Buffet.
Very practical, Easy to implement, not to follow, and profound significance.
Best wishes and more pinkasts like this,
Octavio.
